Although my heart attack kept me from attending the Mini Conference which starred Lloyd Pye and Dr. Valery Uvarov at Lidcombe Catholic Club on Saturday 2nd October, our very dear fried, Peter Khoury arranged to bring these two world UFO authorities up to the Blue Mountains on the Monday of the holiday weekend to meet Heather and I, and I was able to show Lloyd and Valery some of my collection of fossil hominid skulls, giant hominid skull-types and stone megatools, as well as other fossils and UFO related material. Lloyd and I have been in touch via the internet for the last few years and it was a big lift for me to be able to meet him personally at long last. That was the day after we had returned from down south, but I was able muster as much strength as I could for this big meeting, and was well and truly worn out by the time everyone left, but it was well worth it.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the many well-wishers who have sent cards or messages from overseas etc. on the 'net' and all the wonderful people at the conference who sighned that big card for me. Your kind thoughts and well wishes gave me a very big lift during what has been for me a very traumatic time. I promise to do all I can to be back on my feet and in the field just as soon as possible.

Lloyd Pye in Sydney

In October 2004 Lloyd Pye and Dr. Valery Uvarov , visited Sydney for a conference at the Lidcombe Catholic Club. Rex had only a few weeks before had a heart attack and could not attend. At the conference mention was made of Rex and many signed a "get well card". Peter Khoury arranged for both Lloyd & Valery to visit Rex and Heather at their Katoomba home a few days later.
